in each composition, i seek to express the moment, when the
emotion of the scene inspired me, i try to create this moment
in a minimal sense, avoiding the details that are unnecessary
to express it, relying on my original impression to interest
and inspire.

the impressionist idea of capturing a moment in time was
especially moving to me, as I have always been a hopelessly
sentimental person. however, it is not only the sentiment of
a moment savored but the artistic freedom that the subjective
interpretation of that moment provides me as an artist.
