steve sizelove

flame working glass provides me a process with which I can
explore color, composition, and texture, often in the context
of traditional and recognizable forms. i aim for this contemporary
exploration to encourage viewers to look beyond the initial
familiarity of an object – to see work that transcends utilitarian roots.
though tradition gives me a foundation, i work to evolve beyond
historical references. as i experiment with the creative process,
i find new ways to incorporate my insights into a deepening
relationship with the glass.
