i am interested in creating objects that elicit a contemplative response from
the observer, rather than a scrutiny for details. often my work is described as
architectural. in a sense this is true. how we appreciate a structure is from a
distance, by comparing aspects of the shape in relation to its environment.
this what i seek to achieve in my blown work-precise lines, clear light infused
with translucent color that charms the eye through a meditation on the lines and
curves within the assembled forms.
